Lake Superior Provincial Park, Ontario

Lake Superior Provincial Park is about two hours north of US/Canadian Border and is located on the shores of Lake Superior, hence the name. The coast of Lake Superior within the park is stunningly beautiful with crystal clear waters, unexplored islands and hidden sandy beaches. The park also holds a wide era of wildlife including moose, wolves and black bear. We’ll be traveling along the coast of Lake Superior via canoe. The canoeing itself will be fairly easy, but some canoeing experience won’t hurt. We will paddle in protected channels, which will keep us safe from the big waves and wind on the big lake. The water will be chilly though, so we’ll work of paddling techniques and rescue procedures so everyone is comfortable before we set out on our adventure. Along the way we’ll explore the many islands, rock outcrops, beaches and waterfalls along the Superior coast line. Along our route we’ll also explore some sacred Ojibwa island like the Devil’s Chair and the Devil’s Warehouse. No worries, they’re not as scary as they sound. We’ll be camping each night on beaches right on Lake Superior, where we will also prepare meals, eat meals, explore, swim and just hang out.
